These are some of the
comments clients have made:
Beth, thank you for
the fantastic work you have done over the last few weeks. As you know I
was bullied into coming to see you by my physio -Sceptical probably
doesn't do justice to previous thoughts of all things Pilates!
You really have made a massive difference and allowed me to fully
participate in the sports I enjoy and all the wider benefits that
brings.
I'm really delighted to concede that Pilates has been the answer for me
and really does work. I'm happy to challenge anyone who thinks it's
solely a past-time for bored middle class, middle aged, mums....and
blokes who can't meet girls!
Mark Rowney, Cambridge
"For
me pilates has been a revelation – the physical benefits have been
profound, the enjoyment a real bonus. Beth makes sense, makes you work
and challenge yourself but makes it fun. I’m neither young, slim nor
fit, I don’t do the gym or run, but even on the foulest night and with
miles to travel, I really look forward to her class. (I only put the
bit about not being young, slim or fit in as it can be quite daunting
to go to a class if you think everyone else is going to be 20 or more
years younger, superfit, flat stomach, athletic.......!) While there
are plenty of those younger people doing pilates, it is so great for
people with physical/mechanical problems and/or just generally wanting
to keep some of the ageing processes at bay! I'm 59 (for a few months
yet anyway) and a desk-bound administrator." Jenny
Brightwell, Waterbeach I
have been attending Beth's classes since January 2009, after a break of
a couple of years from Pilates. Beth's classes are relaxed
and
friendly, whilst still being focused and challenging. I am a
relatively fit man of 30 and the rest of my class are women a few years
older than me, however I often come away from my class feeling like it
was tailored just for me. This is what I think is special
about
Beth's classes, the way that you feel individually taken care of in a
group environment.
Ross
Sargent, Cambridge Kung Fu Ltd
"I
came to Pilates a year ago, having been recommended to try it by a
friend. In a year of attending Beth's classes, I have gained better
balance and strength, and improved awareness of my stance at all times.
At 182.5cm I am now 1.25cm taller than when I started Pilates. I swim
better with less shoulder and neck tightness, and I have found that
Pilates has allowed me to ski faster, and with more stability, at an
age when many of my friends are slowing down !. Beth's tuition is
always individually focused, looking out for the limitations, as well
as the needs of and challenges for an individual, and I continue to
enjoy it enormously." Peter Summers, Gazeley
"I
can highly recommend Beth as an outstanding Pilates instructor, she is
very knowledgeable on the subject and uses this to excellent effect.
Beth teaches with much more variety than any other trainer I have
worked with and no two classes are ever the same. This diversity means
that all muscle groups are worked on giving a real ‘top to toe’ workout
every time. Beth talks throughout the class, thoroughly explaining not
only how to do each movement but the benefits of doing so. She will
correct you if you are doing something wrong and even though the class
I attend has roughly ten ladies in it, I feel we all get the sort of
attention we would if we were in a private session. Beth seems to have
an amazing sixth sense as to what areas need to be worked on for us to
fully benefit from her class and I always leave the session feeling
revitalised." Anne Dawson, Newmarket
"Beth's
classes are always challenging and interesting, but fun - you never get
the same class twice, so no chance of getting bored! Equipment
(variously sized balls, foam rollers etc) is frequently used in varied
ways to add another dimension to the class. I always leave the class
feeling so much better than when I arrived!" Claire Lucas,
Cambridge.
"I have a one to one
hour of pilates with Beth, once a week. She is a
very good teacher & I thoroughly enjoy the hour with her
& feel
so much better for it." Camilla Pardoe, Newmarket
